Our Story

WHO ARE WE?

The Fargo FaceOff is a family-run business, founded by Jill Clark, a West Fargo hockey mom who grew up in Saskatchewan rinks, playing hockey and ringette. Jill’s childhood was shaped by weekend tournaments where friendships flourished, and her family became a part of the rink community. From opening ceremonies to poolside pizza parties, those moments off the ice became just as memorable as the games themselves.

In March 2024, Jill hosted her first tournament - the Kit Kat Cup, after a canceled pond hockey tournament left the community searching for fun, family-friendly opportunities. With candy bar trophies, mini stick turf games, and free donuts for everyone, the event was an unforgettable success. It was clear : the Fargo-Moorhead hockey community was ready for something different.

By October 2024, the Fargo FaceOff was born, kicking of the hockey season with off-ice activities like social media influencers, MVP photo booths, and onsite barbershop hockey haircuts. Families stayed at the rink all day, creating connections and memories they’ll treasure forever.

What started as Jill’s vision has quickly grown into a true community effort. In 2025, The Fargo FaceOff welcomed its first volunteer committee, along with a sponsorship team to partner with local businesses. Together, they will keep tournaments accessible/affordable without compromising the unforgettable experiences players and families love.

Fueled by the generosity of local businesses, volunteers, and hockey families, The Fargo FaceOff is more than a tournament – it’s where friendships start, families bond, and hockey legends are made.
